Question: Solitaire diamond ring cost more in the future?

My friend was telling me that more down the road solitaire diamond rings get more value than a ring with more than 1 diamond.... Why is that? Wouldn& #039;t the more diamonds the better?

A single stone with more carat weight will usually be more than many smaller stones, even if the total carat weight is higher than the solitaire. It is because the single larger stone is rarer. It 's like a single flawless ruby that is natural color and a deep red is more than a diamond of the same carat weight because it is more rare! : }
