Question: Can you sell a diamond ring at a local jewelry store with no documentation?

Well, you can sell it at a pawn shop and they will only pay you what the diamond and gold are selling for on the market. Not what you paid for it or what the "appraised ' value is. They are not buying a piece of jewelry they are buying a diamond and some gold. That translates to a $300 ring being bought by a shop for $30 sometimes. Whoever you sell it to will want a copy of your drivers license in case it comes up as stolen.

Sure you can. But you should make it clear about the diamond factors and the current gold price clearly, which would help you understand the value of the ring better; while in pawn shop, they always offer 10% for a pawn piece; why not try some second hand website like craglist?

I don’t know what cash4gold will pay. I do know from my past experience, that I sent them a scrap jewelry ring and they paid me $50.26. I rejected the offer and they returned my ring promptly. I then found another company, captaincashforgold.com/ that paid me $193 for the same ring!! and they enclosed a track able Fedex pack along with $500 insurance as opposed to some crappy envelope from cash4gold that you cant even track. I really got burned a couple of times using a couple of different cash for gold companies but with captaincashforgold.com/ I feel I finally found one that I could really trust with my valuables.
