Go to a large jewelry center. get at least 3 or 4 prices from different vendors. and never let the stone out of your sight, or let them remove the stone. be prepared to walk away to get a better price. you will probably only get 1/ 3 of it 's value. and make sure they include the gold in their offer. it 's like bargaining for anything else. if they ask you how much you want, try to get them to give you an offer first.

Visit the jeweler shops along serangoon road or near the china town complex. Follow the tips given in above answer (never let them take the stone out of your sight. even for testing follow them)
