Diamond Engagement Ring

Question: Just bought a diamond engagement ring on the inside of the band there is emj engraved.?

Is that a company name or what does it mean? I know that the ring has been sitting in the Jewlry store for about 5 years waiting on the right buyer *my hubby and me lol* is EMJ the full name of the jeweler or does it stand for something?

Ask the jeweler where you bought it. It could be the manufacturer, or even be someone else 's initials!

It 's an old jewelry company 's name. I don 't think they are still in production.

It is a common practice for Jewellers to put their initials or company initials as identifying marks. Mine is CS , I do not add the "J ". The ring should have other marks to indicate the purity of gold etc. ie. 750 , 585, or 18ct or 14k, etc. these are the more important marks as far as the value is concerned.
