Diamond Engagement Ring

Question: Weird to not have a diamond engagement ring?

I think diamonds are pretty and everything, but i like more unique styles and i love color. i just don& #039;t know if it will be weird or not seem like it& #039;s not an engagement ring to have something other than a diamond. so i just wanted to hear some opinions

I like the idea of having something other than a diamond. Besides, who cares what other people think about your ring. It 's not theirs is it?

No, it 's not weird at all. My mom has a ruby on her engagement ring. Plus, I know people who have emerald on their rings too. And they have diamonds with color. I think there are cool colors like pink, yellow, and blue.

No defintaly not. not only are diamonds overpriced and cliche. Several lifes have been lost mining them. In Africa kids are ripped out of there vvillages, and are beaten and sometimes killed to mine diamonds, then there shipped to India where slave childrean are forced to clean the diamonds. The Diamond market is a terrible one, and i just hate the idea of knowing someone died to make my engagement ring perfect. Watch the Movie "Blood Diamond " Its one countless awards and well defintaly make ya cry. And you 'll never want a diamond wedding ring :) Also, why would you want a diamond??? EVERYONE has one, and there just compressed carbon which is literaly dinosoar poo. Did you know there making a diamond out of michale jaksons hair (Just saw it on CNN) I think a Ruby, Emerald, Saphire or even and Opal ring would be so pretty. I think an amathest in the middle and to opals on the side would be so lovely
