Where is the best place to buy a diamond engagement ring?

Question: Where is the best place to buy a diamond engagement ring?

Thinking about getting engaged soon and I& #039;ve began looking for rings. It looks to me that it would be best to get a ring online. Any suggestion of online sites or any good stores located in southern VA or northern NC. Looking for an Princess cut, ideal cut, H or better color, VS2 or better clarity, around .75 carats and am trying to keep it under $2000.

I recommend starting with a diamond search engine that will check diamond inventory at 10 or so retailers (Blue Nile, James Allen, Mondera, Amazon, etc.) all at the same time. I like diamondpriceguru.com/ but there 's also Pricescope and some other smaller ones. I plugged in the stats you provided (princess cut, ideal cut grade, H or better color, VS2 or better clarity, under $2,000, and I used a carat range of .75-.80). It found 14 loose diamonds that matched your description. You can click on the individual diamonds to learn more about them (depth percentage, girdle thickness, fluorescence info, measurements, etc.). And you can play around with the description to narrow it down more, if you like. And it doesn 't ask for personal info, like some sites do. Anyway, the diamond search engines are great for finding the prices of what you want and which companies have them. After that, I suggest clicking through to the individual retailers ' sites to look at the settings. You don 't have to buy the setting at the same place you buy the loose diamond; you can combine diamond and setting at your local jeweler, etc. But most retailers have a reasonable range of settings. Usually there 's a "build a ring " or "design a ring " button to click and it gives you choices on metal type, basic style, etc. I hope this helps.

You may try Blue Nile or Amazon but the prices are not so good. Better for you is to try to buy loose diamond and than set it in a ring that you can design by yourself. Try verifiedbuy.com may be they can help more. I bought from them and was very satisfied.
